1. Read through the Bible

During the kids' nap today I finished up the book of Malachi.  I have been very aggressively reading through the Bible this year and have gotten to the finish.  I really enjoyed reading it.  I have never read the book the whole way through in one consecutive period of time.  Surprisingly, I read very little in an actual paper Bible.  Most of my reading was read on biblegateway.com.  I found it very easy to read this way because I could read anywhere that I had an internet connection.  Most of my reading was done before school in my classroom.  I found it to be a nice quiet way to begin each day.  My favorite part of reading was connecting all of the stories in the Bible.  I first read the New Testament then began the Old Testament.  You might notice that I made it through pretty fast.  That is true.  I did the whole Bible in about 10 months.  I flew through a lot of the books because they were such fun to read.
I look forward to reading it cover to cover again some time soon.
Another goal down!

This is one of your best goals to achieve. I have found that once you get started you don't want to stop. I read the entire Bible one summer. Since then it takes me a year to do it. Try different versions sometime! I love you!

Eric,

Thanks for the comment on my story over on GRS. It's great to hear from another bookman. My wife and I were in the Education division from 1999 through 2006 (she did all those summers, I did 3 of them - '03-'05). We were Cadillacs in the Winning Tradition. We sold in PA, TX, RI, KS, AR, and IA. We loved those summers. Where did you get to sell and when?

Oh, and also, congrats on completing the entire Bible! Your list of 101 goals is a neat idea.

Eric,

We probably have a lot of common friends. We worked directly under Dave Falkenberg, but also closely with Pat Roach, Creig Soder, and Chris Samuels. Where did you go to college?
