Tonight Melissa made a good dinner, but I wasn't too excited about it. I was told to enter eating dinner with an open mind. When given those directions keep your expectations low. I would put this post in the category of
trying something new that I normally wouldn't eat.

Maddie had the only plate that had food on it when I thought about taking a picture.
She wasn't a big fan. |

We ate tilapia. I can not remember the last time I willingly ate fish. When trying to consider when it was the only time I could think about eating fish I kept remember skinning and de-boning fish at my grandparents house after they had gone fishing up in Wisconsin. That had to have been nearly 20 years ago. I remember not being a huge fan back then either. Beside that time, I can't remember eating it.
That said, dinner wasn't too bad. I didn't have the most of open minds as Melissa was carrying it out to the table tonight and all I could smell was the fishy scent coming off the food.

Everything eaten except for the cream cheese dip Melissa made for the fish. |
I did keep the open mind Melissa asked for and I finished the whole thing. I even told Melissa that she could make it again. Not too bad.
Because of making my first list, I didn't have as tough of a time trying out something new for dinner tonight. Thanks Melissa!

It was DELICIOUS - and very healthy!!! At least Charlie and Hannah liked it. Charlie even ate an entire fillet!
I'm sure it was delicious! It took me until just recently to discover that properly seasoned and cooked fish is very good. Eating fish at Grandma Weis's was way too much work for what you got. I don't blame you for not liking it, EP. Don't wait as long as I did to discover how good it can be.
